Highlander Safety and Performance
When situations arise that could present a loss of control, it's good to know your Highlander has Vehicle Stability Control (VSC) plus Traction Control (TRAC). This advanced safety system uses the vehicle's computer and several sensors to regulate individual brake and throttle control to help counteract skidding and spinning, and help you maintain your course.
In addition, Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Electronic Brake force Distribution (EBD) and Brake Assist is also standard equipment. EBD ensures that the distribution of brake force between the front and rear wheels is electronically regulated for optimum performance under various driving conditions.
VSC Components: On-Board Computer, Wheel Speed Sensors, Yaw-Rate Sensors, Deceleration Sensor, Steering Wheel Angle Sensor and Throttle Position Sensor.
