Just because necessity dictates you need a functional vehicle, where is it written that you can't enjoy it? Case in point: the 2008 Toyota Sienna. With more room, more power and a sleek, sporty new look, it's definitely "unminivan-ish." Available in either 7- or 8-seat models, Sienna now has more features than ever before. Like the 60/40 Split & Stow 3rd Row (TM) seat -- Sienna was the first to have it!
What else do you call the Sienna XLE? Especially when it comes with leather-trimmed seats, wood-grain style interior trim, a 10-speaker JBL surround-sound audio system, three separate climate controls (for driver, front passenger and rear passenger), power windows in both front and second rows, power rear door and available All-Wheel Drive. Factor in a rear-seat audio/video entertainment system*, heated seats, a front centre console box that can be installed between the front or second row seats, power sliding passenger doors with "jam protection", indexing seats and 2 cup holders for every passenger and you could have a very difficult time convincing your passengers to leave.
*Sienna XLE FWD Limited and XLE AWD Limited models.
In terms of adaptability, there aren't too many curve balls you can throw at the luxurious Sienna LE with its highly responsive 230 hp VVT-i V6. Not when you can get your choice of 7- or 8-passenger seating and the option of All-Wheel Drive. Standard equipment consists of such creature comforts as front row and second row power windows, power door locks, exterior heated mirrors, dual air conditioning, cruise control, rear window defroster with timer and wiper washer, and an instrument panel control switch for remote operation of the rear quarter windows. Anyone for multi-tasking?
Because we're talking Sienna, it goes without saying that the Sienna CE has more passenger room and cargo capacity than ever before.
The Sienna CE AWD, is equipped with all the features of the CE, plus privacy glass and 17" alloy wheels. You can expect standard items such as 4-Wheel Antilock Brakes, sliding doors with power windows, dual air conditioning, tilt & telescopic steering wheel, 6-speaker AM/FM/Cassette/CD audio system, tire pressure monitoring system and a folding tray table between front row seats that folds down to create a walk-through space. And if you really want to explore the limits of space, fold down the passenger seat, stow the Split & Stow 3rd Row (TM) remove the second row and you're looking at 4.22 cubic metre (149 cu.ft.) of possibilities. All you have to do is decide whether you want all this in a 7- or 8-passenger model. We never told you it was going to be easy.
