The 2019 RAV4 is available in both hybrid and traditional models. Toyota has always been at the front of the hybrid pack, so it's no surprise that the new RAV4 hybrid is a standout as well. Between the 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine and hefty nickel-metal-hydride battery, it's capable of a smooth 219 horsepower.
The hybrid out-performs the traditional model, which pairs the same 2.5-litre four-banger with an eight-speed automatic transmission and comes out with 203hp. That's substantial enough to make a difference you can feel, particularly when going up hills or accelerating onto the highway. Inside, the RAV4 has also gotten a total facelift. The old models were a bit... classic... in their design, and so the 2019 RAV4 gets a very sleek and inviting new interior to match the new looks. It also features a downright superlative multimedia center and HUD, with great viewability and a highly responsive touchscreen.
